 Would you agree that viewing pictures displaying information is much more enjoyable than just reading? That is because it has been proven that the human mind actually recalls pictures rather than words. It is so much more efficient for us and enjoyable to have visuals stating information. Visual images are what we remember in the long term and they help us recollect information very easily. Infographics compile images, information, and data all in one to convey a message to us. They make intercepting information so intriguing and interesting. They help us recall the information we gathered from the message by including pictures and words together in a visually appealing way.

Here is one interesting infographic I found about safe boating; I really like the advice that is given in this infographic. I can say as an avid boater that these tips are all very accurate and are important to remember whenever you want to spend a day out on the water. High winds, cold water, and lighting are all factors that can jeopardize peoples' safety. That is why we have to be prepared for these situations so that we know what to do in case we are faced with a hazard. I like that this infographic is simple and contains a few small images to stick in our minds to remind us that these conditions can be dangerous and we have to know what to do in order to keep everyone safe.

This next infographic is about preparing for hiking in cold weather. There are tons of amazing hiking trails in Wisconsin and they look beautiful during the winter. Careful preparation is required though before going on any winter hiking excursion to avoid injury. Staying hydrated, continually moving, and bringing plenty of warm gear is necessary to endure the cold temperature. Bringing extra gloves is smart in case one pair gets wet, because hypothermia is one of the main concerns when winter hiking. I like that this infographic conveys a lot of important information for those wanting to hike in the winter. The visuals included in this infographic are great at demonstrating what precautions need to be taken to ensure a successful hiking trip.

The site lets you customize every aspect of the infographic, from hundreds of custom images to unique icons that can be added to the infographic. There is also a very helpful tour option which walks users through all of the buttons to learn about all the features on the site.
